Participants will begin coursework during Summer I with a three-week intensive experience on the Texas A&M University campus as part of a scientific team. All courses are team-taught and include faculty specializing in science education, educational psychology and information technology, as well as various science disciplines.
During the first academic year after Summer I, participants will be involved in instructional applications unique to their science team. Successful involvement in this professional development experience will qualify participants to complete coursework and science team experiences designated for Summer II, which is another three-week intensive experience. The ITS Specialist Certificate will be issued at the end of the second summer institute.
* These courses may count as graduate credit toward a master's degree, a Ph.D. or an Ed.D. with a specialization in information technology in the Department of Teaching, Learning and Culture as well as toward a variety of degrees in other departments. They may not, however, count twice for a second graduate degree.
