eCampus Course Structures & Archiving of Courses

Course Structures to be Available in eCampus Tools on Monday, July 31

The latest release of eCampus Tools on Monday, July 31 will feature template-like Course Structures for eCampus courses. Course Structures will include predefined links in the course menu that can help jump-start your course design and organization. Course Structures do not contain any content. After the course is created, you can modify or delete any unnecessary course menu links.

Options will include:

  • Basic Course Structure
    Use this for a default course structure. This structure contains minimal links to help you get started building your course.
     
  • Blank Course Structure
    Use this for an empty course structure. This structure does not contain menu items. It is also suitable for importing content from another course.
     
  • Best Practices Course Structure
    Use this course structure to follow best practices for course and instructional design.

Archiving of Summer & Fall 2014 eCampus Courses to Start Monday, July 31

Summer and fall 2014 courses will be archived and moved off of eCampus starting Monday, July 31. Refer to the eCampus Course Lifecycle help documentation for further details about course archiving policies.

For specific courses or programs that require extended access to course materials, contact ITS at itshelp@tamu.edu or (979) 458-3417 to request an exception by Wednesday, July 26.

Please provide the following information:

  • Requester
  • Official Instructor of Record (if different than requester)
  • Course ID
  • Amount of time course should be retained
  • Justification for retaining
